Conforme pasa el tiempo la situación europea se torna mas complicada y los costos de oportunidad se incrementan. Eventualmente el Banco Central Europeo tendrá que intervenir de una forma u otra. Esperemos no sea muy tarde.
ITALY: Unconfirmed market chatter continues to do the rounds of another Italy sovereign ratings downgrade is imminent — with some talk this could be up to 3 notches. S&P currently rates Italy A and Moody’s is at A2 — both in line, but Fitch is lagging by 1 notch at A+. All 3 rating agencies have Italy on outlook negative. Fitch last downgraded Italy on Oct 7 by 1 notch. Moody’s downgraded Italy by 3 notches from Aa2 on Oct 4 and S&P last downgraded by 1 notch from A+ on Sep 19 and then cited “weakening economic growth prospects and view that Italy’s fragile governing coalition and policy differences within parliament will likely continue to limit the government’s ability to respond decisively to the challenging domestic and external macroeconomic environment”.
